As Boca Raton personal injury lawyers, it’s our goal to provide positive results in a cost effective manner to injury victims throughout South Florida. Like most personal injury attorneys, our legal fees are collected on a contingency basis; meaning, our clients don’t pay us anything unless we settle their case or win at trial.
Personal Injury Law Q&A
- Do I have a valid personal injury claim?
To have a valid personal injury law case in the State of Florida, 3 elements must be present:
- an injury;
- the injury must be the result of another’s negligence; and
- there must be someone who is able to respond in damages.
As your personal injury lawyer, I will communicate with your medical providers so the nature, extent and effect of your injury can be lucidly presented to the defendant or the defendant’s adjuster. I will investigate your injury claim and determine whether any action — or inaction — by another person, organization, or other entity, caused your injury. I will then find all sources from which you may be compensated.
- How will my medical bills get paid?
In Boca Raton, and throughout the State of Florida, PIP insurance covers the expenses of your medical bills if you are injured in an automobile accident. Other health insurance or worker’s compensation may also contribute to the payment of your medical bills, but the defendant (the party responsible for your injuries and losses) is ultimately responsible for any medical costs incurred.
- What is PIP insurance?
PIP is compulsory automobile insurance. Your entitlement to PIP insurance benefits is not based upon fault. If you are injured from the operation of an automobile, you are entitled to PIP benefits.
- Can I get paid for missed work?
Yes. PIP insurance will compensate you for 60% of your lost wages. Any lost wages not paid from PIP may be recovered from the defendant.
